Nursery Place Options

There are three options available to you. Your child can attend full time, the beginning of the week, or the end of the week. These are the only available options for this nursery: 

Beginning of the week 

• Monday, Tuesday: 8.30am - 2.30pm 

• Wednesday: 8.30am - 11.30am 

End of the week

• Wednesday: 11.30am - 2.30pm

• Thursday, Friday: 8.30am - 2.30pm 

Full time

• Monday - Friday: 8.30am - 2.30pm 

Nursery Lunches

At Hallam Nursery the children will have the choice to either bring a healthy packed lunch or order a school meal. The school meals will be either; Meal 1 (usually meat) or Meal 2 (vegetarian), followed by a pudding e.g. cake, fruit or yogurt. The meals will be available for you to view here on the website, these meals will also be on display in the nursery entrance. 

School meals will be charged at £2.95 per meal. This payment will be made using the parent pay app (if you are yet to receive your log in, please speak to a member of staff).

Snack:

All children in Nursery will be offered a snack. There will be a choice of fruit, crackers, rice cakes, breadsticks etc. This will be charged at £5.00 per week if your child attends full time and £2.50 if your child is part time.

Uniform

All children will be expected to wear uniform to Nursery. A link to our provider is here.

Wraparound Care

Both breakfast and after-school club will take place within the Nursery setting just with Nursery children. The wraparound sessions can be paid for on the parent pay app. The charge is per session rather than hourly.

• Breakfast club: £6.50 (7.30am – 8.30am)
• After school club: £14 (3.30pm – 6.15pm)

If you require an additional hour or wraparound care and your child is only attending until 2.30pm then the additional hour until 3.30pm will be charged at £5.32 per hour (£26.60 for 5 days if full time)

Nappies, Wipes and Change of Clothes

If you child requires nappies and wipes, please send your child to Nursery with their own bag clearly labelled. Staff will inform parents when a refill is needed. All children will need to bring a spare set of clothes, including underwear in case your child needs to be changed.

Sun Cream and Hats

Please send your child with sun cream clearly labelled and a sun hat. You will need to sign the consent form with your Nursery pack in order for staff to apply sun cream to your child.

Keeping you up to date

If for any reason the nursery needs to close e.g. adverse weather, you will be notified via text or email. There will also be updates on our Hallam Facebook page.

Attendance

Attendance is very important to all pupils at Hallam Primary School in order for children to achieve their true potential, this includes the Robin’s Nursery. If your child is unwell and will not be attending, please ring the main office on 0114 230 4430 before 8.30am to report your child’s absence, in line with the school policy.
