In cross-curricular activities, as well as making their very own traditional Christingle when studying Christianity, Y5 children designed their very own versions, explaining why they had chosen their materials and design. I like the banana versions!
Aztec and Mayan masks.
While studying the ancient Aztec and Mayan civilisations, Y5 investigated the traditional masks they used as part of their homework, further researched in class and prepared a draft design. After evaluating this, they went on to generate their own design based on criteria.
