TSAT SCITT
TSAT School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) Programme
We are delighted to have launched, in partnership with Teach First the TSAT School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme.
Our one-year programme involves a powerful mix of self-directed, live training and one-to-one support, with trainees gaining Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) upon completion.
We hope that the programme will inspire the next generation of teachers for both TSAT and the wider sector.
We have 15 places for a September 2024 start, in both primary and secondary phases, with a range of subjects on offer. If you know anyone – in the workplace, at home or in your wider community, that may be interested in training to teach then please visit the Trust website for further information:
We are really interested in local people who want to make a difference in our TSAT schools and communities: school alumni wanting to ‘give back’, recent graduates looking to take their next steps, career changes seeking a new challenge – all these potential professionals, and more, are welcome to apply.
TSAT SCITT - Online information session
Join Our First Online Information Session: Become a Teacher! We’re hosting our first online information session on Tuesday, December 3rd at 18:00, and we want you to join us!
TSAT SCITT’s vision is to help realise the life chances and dreams of every child. Join us as a trainee teacher to support our mission and shape the future.
High quality teaching is the single most impactful factor in our classrooms. We want to help create the next generation of talented teachers for TSAT and the wider profession. That is why we are the exclusive SCITT partner in the Sheffield City Region of Teach First, a national charity that develops teachers and leaders who are determined to make a difference.
Our one-year programme involves a powerful mix of self-directed, live training and one-to-one support in a school of your choice, all supported by Teach First’s Ofsted Outstanding, research-informed curriculum. And at the end of it, you'll be awarded Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education).
Why train with us?
TSAT is one of the longest established multi-academy Trusts in Sheffield, and we have a proud history of providing high-quality initial teacher training in our range of Primary and Secondary schools.
Our pathway is a fully immersive experience, involving you in the life of your school community from day 1 and quickly establishing you in the classroom.
TSAT is an ‘Institute of Talent’ – and our offer is on a relatively small scale – allowing us to really invest in each of our trainees with a personalised, bespoke approach, ensuring that they become excellent classroom practitioners.
Each trainee is issued with a work laptop to support their online expert training modules/teaching.
As a TSAT SCITT trainee, you get to explore the Trust, visiting a number of settings, working across Phase and networking with expert colleagues/specialists across the organisation.
